BRINGING PROFESSIONALISM TO SHLICHUS WORK
These young men have burst upon the shlichus scene and have demonstrated expertise in management, marketing, public relations, external and internal networking, becoming consultants on a variety of subjects; giving shiurim, accounting, fundraising, public speaking, forging personal connections and finding people’s areas of receptivity in order to reach their hearts and minds. * How do they do it? When did they manage to study and develop expertise in their fields? How important is it for a shliach to attend professional courses? Isn’t it enough to just be a “Chassidishe yungerman?”

THE ORPHAN FROM SHVENTZIAN
The Rebbe Rayatz often refers to his beloved teacher, Rashbatz (Rabbi Shmuel Betzalel Sheftel), in his diary. Rashbatz was a great Chassid and enormous gaon who was devoted to the study and ways of Chassidus. It is hard to believe that such a Chassid was once a Misnaged!
