We live in unpreceded times. The Rebbe’s broad shoulders that carried the world’s weight is now our load to bear. How can that possibly be? If the Rebbe did all he can to bring Moshiach, what more can we possibly do? * Now it’s clear why it is imperative to the Rebbe to make leaders, not followers.

When G-d spoke and the world came into being, a world where He sent the souls of His beloved nation, the Jewish people, G-d became “vulnerable,” dependent on us to succeed in our mission. Likewise, the Rebbe spoke words of prophecy about the imminence of redemption – and it is up to us to see it through!
One of the Rebbe’s main instructions following Chaf-Ches Nissan was the necessity to learn about the Geula in the Rebbe’s sichos. * Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi a”h explained how learning or not-learning Inyanei Moshiach and Geula affects halachic decisions made by our poskim, why the Rebbe emphasized learning the halachos about Moshiach in the Rambam, and how all this is connected to spreading the Besuras Ha’Geula
Don’t bereaved parents or orphans truly look forward to Moshiach’s coming and T’chiyas HaMeisim? Aren’t people suffering from serious illnesses looking expectantly to the Geula to heal them from their illnesses? * And yet, the Rebbe meant what he said and there is no doubt that if someone truly wanted it, we would already have the Geula. * We spoke with Rabbi Zushe Silberstein, shliach in Montreal, to try and come up with a plan, and understand what we are missing so that we can truly ask for Moshiach.
There are many inspiring days throughout the year. This is especially true if you add all the Chassidishe dates that we celebrate, of which B”H there are many. Yet there is one date in the calendar that serves as a wake-up call out of our reverie and the comfortable exile mentality: the 28th of Nissan.

He raced between the houses, looking for a place to hide from the conquering soldiers. After a while his lungs burned from the effort but he continued to run, distancing himself from the place of danger. He constantly looked right and left. The fear that he would encounter enemy soldiers kept him on high alert, knowing that an encounter like that would cost him his life.
While historically we felt that the main responsibility was on the Tzaddikim – Rebbeim – and we would do our small part, the Rebbe shifted the responsibility onto us. It is not a message of desperation, it is a message of empowerment. The Rebbe – and all the Rebbeim – have prepared us for this special mission and we can, must, and will accomplish it.
In most of his sichos, the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach emphasized the power of each individual. However, in the sicha from the 28th of Nissan 5751, designated by the Rebbe as “the well-known sicha,” it seems that the Rebbe placed a greater prominence upon understanding the unique strength possessed by each one of us individually, even when we are considered a part of the Jewish People as a whole.

Over the years, the Rebbe did what he had to do to bring the Sh’china down to this world. What is demanded of us is to bring out the Nachshon within us, the point of mesirus nefesh. How do we do that? We each need to consult with our mashpia and come up with a plan.
There is no point in measuring ourselves up to the Rebbe in his manner of avoda. The Rebbe asks that we do according to our abilities and strength. That means he doesn’t expect me to do as he does; he expects me to do as myself.
