Beis Moshiach spoke with Chassidim who were in 770 when the s’farim episode ended in victory for the Rebbe and the Chassidim. We also spoke with Chassidim in Eretz Yisroel whose hearts were in Beis Chayeinu. * About the yechidus for members of Aguch, the bombshell at the 12 Tammuz farbrengen 5745, and the ongoing shock at the five farbrengens where the Rebbe referred to the theft of the s’farim. About the beginning of the court case on 19 Kislev, the Rebbe’s trips to the Ohel all the days of the trial, and the tremendous tension until the news was out – Didan Natzach!
This upcoming week we will all be celebrating the Yom Tov of Hey Teves. It is a special day of “Didan Natzach” for the Rebbe and the entire avoda of our generation. This year is the 30th anniversary of the original “hey Teves” victory in 5747, and as Chazal say (Avos 5:22) “שלושים לכח בן – when one turns 30, he attains full strength,” may we use this special day for additional strength in our Hiskashrus and dedication to our Avoda in bringing the Geula.

This week we celebrate the special victory of Hey Teves, the day that – in the year 5747 – the federal court ruled that all the s’farim that were taken from the library of the Rebbe should be returned. The next year – Year of Hakhel 5748 – the day of 5 Teves fell out on Shabbos. Chassidim were unsure if the Rebbe wanted the day to be marked with a celebration or not.
Hei Teves 5747. The joyous news quickly spread – Didan Natzach! We were victorious! The judge ruled that the s’farim belong to Agudas Chassidei Chabad, the Rebbe and the s’farim belong to the Chassidim! The streets of Crown Heights were full of people dancing.
That book is part of the very life of the Rebbe – in the past, the present, and the future, until the end of all generations (for “his progeny is alive,” as above). It follows that taking his seifer is tantamount to taking part of the Rebbe’s life, may G-d have mercy!
As discussed above, the ruling is stated clearly, leaving no room for doubt (not even room for a doubt in the realm of k’dusha, holiness). And there is no reason to revisit the issue. In fact, the decision has already been made. * May the elimination of all these doubts discussed above bring about the elimination of doubt regarding when Moshiach will finally arrive, insofar as he is already coming and we see him in plain view, and “he points with his finger and he says, ‘that is him!’”
