We are still internalizing the lessons and inspiration that we learned and received on Chof-Beis Shvat, the 30th Yahrtzait of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka. One of the main directives that the Rebbe initiated in her honor, on her birthday 25 Adar, was the directive that all Jewish people should celebrate their birthday.
For the past few months, we have been sharing weekly insights from the Rebbe on the concept of Hakhel, based primarily on the Sichos of 5748, a year of Hakhel.

A woman does this through her own proper conduct, as well as by educating her children and family members to behave in a manner appropriate for a “Sanctuary” and a “Temple” for G-d, and in particular, a finely crafted and adorned Sanctuary or Temple.
“I am one hundred and twenty years today,” “today my days and years have become complete,” enriched and complete days and years, both physically and spiritually. The continuation of Moshe’s 120 years is the eternal life of the true and complete redemption.
One of the widespread problems of our generation is the problem of concentration and attention. The commotion, even turmoil, of life, constantly distracts us.
The leader of the generation – the nasi, meaning hisnas’us, uplifting – lifts up the entire generation, for “the nasi, the leader, is everything.”
As discussed above, the ruling is stated clearly, leaving no room for doubt (not even room for a doubt in the realm of k’dusha, holiness). And there is no reason to revisit the issue. In fact, the decision has already been made. * May the elimination of all these doubts discussed above bring about the elimination of doubt regarding when Moshiach will finally arrive, insofar as he is already coming and we see him in plain view, and “he points with his finger and he says, ‘that is him!’”

Yud Shvat of the 10th year (5710) marks the end of the era of my father in-law, the Rebbe, Nasi Doreinu’s service of G-d living in this world. The next day – the eleventh day of the eleventh month, and especially in the eleventh year (5711) – the continuation and innovation of a new era, the seventh generation, began.
