When a Jew cries out “Daloi galus! (Enough with exile!)” and “Moshiach now!” – were he simply to want it sincerely it would be fulfilled at once, without any delay (and there is no need to wait even the short duration described in the verse, “His word runs swiftly”), being that the redemption is already here in the world and a Jew must simply reveal it! * The lesson of the mahn.

He was a true Chabad Chassid, one of the directors of Kollel Chabad in Eretz Yisroel appointed by the Rebbe Rayatz. He also served as Rabbi of the Kosel HaMaaravi under the British, and was one of the prominent personalities in the Jewish quarter of the Old City until it fell to the Arab marauders in 1948. That is when he was killed by a flying piece of shrapnel. * Rabbi Yitzchok Avigdor Orenstein was a talmid chacham, celebrated Chassid, a man of many deeds, who was a father figure to numerous residents of the Old City.
We have discussed on many occasions the importance of learning the Sichos of the D’var Malchus (Nissan 5751 – Adar 5752), which are filled with the Rebbe’s instructions to us about living with Geula and Moshiach.
Although many years have passed since then, Dr. Emanuel Bar-Or of Givatayim clearly recalls the day he received the letter from the Rebbe containing a bracha that opened the channel for him and his wife. In its merit, they were blessed with two more children.

The principal association of Rashbi with the redemption is, “With this work of yours [the Zohar] … they shall go out of exile with mercy,” for then there shall indeed be the fulfillment of “When you come into the land, etc., and the land shall rest, a Sabbatical to G-d,” in the literal sense, in the true and complete redemption.
We are now in the midst of the period known as S’fira. It is based on the commandment in this week’s parsha to count 50 days from Passover until the Holiday of Shavuos, the anniversary of the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai.
The Rebbe held a surprise farbrengen this Shabbos, and at the end of the farbrengen announced that the parade could take place without his being present. For us, this was like a bolt from the blue.
